Camping Hacks: 3 Must-Haves for RV Road Trips

Everyone knows that camping in an RV is fantastic, but a lot of times the road trip to your destination can be a drag. Here are three must-haves for when you’re on the road…

and on the road…

and when you’re still on the road.

1. Hammocks

Hammock
Go ahead and take a nap…

Hammocks are all the rage now, and for good reason. Not only are they portable, but they’re even small enough to stuff under your seat in your vehicle, so they don’t take up much space at all when on road trips. Here’s the real kicker and why we suggest them for road trips: when you’ve spent long hours hauling an RV across the country, now you have a place to take a nap when at a rest stop! Just set it up, and take that 30 minute snooze you’ve been day dreaming about!

2. A Wifi Booster

A wifi booster is literally what the name is- it boosts the wifi from places surrounding you. This can be very helpful when on the side of the road a few miles between towns, and especially when you stay in a parking lot overnight (not a lot of people do it, but it’s happened before!). The wifi booster will pick up signals from wifi in the area, and a lot of RVers swear by it. There are many different kinds of wifi boosters, so make sure to do some research before buying one!

3. Time

Picture Taking
Snap pictures of your favorite moments!

Recently I heard someone say that they wished they had taken the time to stop on the side of the road and take pictures of all the beautiful scenery they’d come across through their life. I inquired about why they hadn’t just stopped in the first place and taken that photo, and they told me they always had the excuse of “never having enough time.” But when on vacation especially… pictures of moments are the most beautiful things you could take home with you!

Here at Moore’s we value the experience of every RVer, and we want you to be able to remember that one particular sunset on that one particular night on your way to your favorite campground. Road trips can be tough when they’re long and winding and seemingly never ending, but it’s all part of an awesome adventure!
