Homemade Caramel Apples
This is a super easy rendition of the popular caramel apples you see in grocery stores.
1 package of individually wrapped caramels
2 tablespoons milk
Wooden craft stick
Remove the stem from your apple and insert wooden craft stick. Combine caramels and milk in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for 2 minutes. Roll your apples in the caramel and place on wax paper. Let the caramel harden and enjoy!
Baked Apples With Granola
This hearty dessert is not only delicious, but healthy too. It layers the soft baked goodness of apples with the rougher texture of granola.
2 Tablespoons dried fruit – cranberries, raisins, blueberries
4 Tablespoons brown sugar
8 of your favorite granola bars crushed
Halve your apples and remove the core. Evenly fill each apple with brown sugar, dried fruit, and butter. Wrap with plastic wrap, punch a hole to vent the steam and microwave on high until the apples are tender. Once completely “baked” top with granola and enjoy.
