Need some awesome camping locations in PA?
Finding that perfect weekend getaway can be a bit of a challenge. This is especially true if you camp on a regular basis and have already seen and done what there is to do in your home state. Whenever this is the case, and you simply don’t feel like doing the “same old, same old”, it might be time to look outside of state lines.
After all, Pennsylvania has some pretty amazing camping spots of their own, just waiting to be explored by adventurers like you. Here are a few of our favorites:
1. Raccoon Creek State Park
This lovely state park is the perfect place to get away from the hustle-and-bustle and enjoy nature. The lake is beautiful, and the woods are teeming with wildlife.
As an added bonus, there are showers, toilets, and plenty of RV sites available, and many of them even have 50-amp hookups. Just make sure to clean up your campsite each night and rid it of any food. After all, there is a reason they call it Raccoon Creek.

2. Ohiopyle State Park
The gorgeous views alone make this park well with visiting. However, you absolutely do not have to settle for just the pretty views. With places to get in some horseback riding, skiing, rock climbing, and bicycling, you’ll never be bored in Ohiopyle State Park.
Wondering about the camping? Well, it is equally as wonderful. Many campsites offer electric hookups, and all campers have access to warm showers and flushing toilets.

3. Pymatuning State Park
Kayaking, swimming, fishing, hunting, and disc golf are just a few of the fun activities to be found at Pymatuning State Park. Clearly, this an excellent place to go and enjoy the outdoors, no matter what you enjoy doing.
The two campgrounds in the park offer flush toilets, showers, and even a few full-hookup sites, making them quite comfortable places to stay.
